I’m formulating a response/interaction on it. Largely, I understand his perspective, and embrace many of his reasons as my own. And yet, with so many untapped riches in the Orthodox and Catholic traditions, I deeply want to see the forest for the trees. In light of modern evangelicalism’s vision of aesthetics and rhythm – in symbolic action, art, lectionary, atmosphere, architecture, and sometimes music, I’m drawn in some key areas to these highly liturgical settings.
